The Colors of Spring 2013 - Statuesque Events | Luxury Event Planner

If you are planning a wedding for this spring, you have, most likely, already started the planning process.  If you have yet to choose the colors for your wedding, you may want to look at the hottest colors for 2013’s spring wedding season for inspiration. Below are a few tips from our newest blog partners, Simply Bridal:

Cool Pastels

Pastels have always been in style for weddings, but this season’s pastel shades are on the cool side of the color wheel.  Dusty blue, a combination of light blue and gray, is one of the top choices, and looks great on bridesmaids and groomsmen alike.  Sky blue and lavender are also popular hues that transcend well to decorations, such as flowers.

Vibrant Shades

Peacock feathers inspired a lot of wedding color palettes last year, and vibrant tones are still in style for the upcoming season.  Teal, emerald green, and dark blue are still on the top of the wedding color list, but are being combined with lighter, contrasting colors.  Spring green is another popular, gorgeous hue for that allows the use of fresh greenery for decoration.

Warm Colors

Cool tones are definitely in style for spring, but warm shades are not far behind.  Bright red, lemon yellow, and burnt orange are all huge this year.  Tan shades are also in vogue, and look elegant when paired with almost any other color.  When choosing a warm palette, consider incorporating a cool accent color to bring your wedding from fall to spring.  For example, lemon yellow and dusty gray would make a gorgeous en trend color palette.

Most of the color trends for spring blend well with each other, so you can create a complete wedding color palette from the suggested shades.  Alternatively, you can spice up an existing color palette by replacing a shade with one of the fresh tones on the list.  Instead of using white as a main color, use a linen shade.  Replace deep purple with lavender, butter yellow with lemon yellow, and peach with orange.  However you choose to incorporate the color trends of spring 2013 into your wedding, these shades are sure to bring the spirit of spring to your wedding day.
